The CRR Group Benefits program offers CRR Realtors, staff members and their dependents
2 PPO options, a voluntary (HSA) Health Savings Account, and a voluntary Dental Plan.


PLAN SPECIFICS

  • You cannot be declined for this coverage if you are an "employee" of Charles Rutenberg Realty Inc. - staff and agents are considered employees.

  • There are no pre-existing condition limitations if you have at least 12 months of Continuous Coverage.

  • If you do NOT have 12 months of prior coverage you may have limitations to your benefits during the first year for "pre-existing" conditions.

  • You have a choice of 2 benefit levels. A $5,000 deductible HSA, or a $3,500 deductible HSA.

  • Your deductible is applied on a calendar year basis and is doubled when a dependent is insured.

  • Funding of the HSA in addition to the base premium is OPTIONAL.

  • If your marital spouse is also a CRR "employee" it is necessary to enroll separately.

  • Although dependent coverage is available, we urge you to contact your insurance agent about insuring your dependents under a separate policy whenever possible.

HSA - HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT - Our Group Benefits program is a qualified Health Savings Account (HSA).  This type of program enables participants in the plan to accumulate a tax deferred reserve to supplement the PPO insurance plan.  Your optional annual contributions to your personal, portable HSA will accumulate at interest in a tax-preferred savings account.  This will make it possible for you to pay your "minor" expenses with pre-tax dollars.

2008 Maximum Annual  tax-deductible contribution for a Single person is $2,900

2008 Maximum Annual  tax-deductible contribution for more than one person is $5,800

2008 Maximum Annual  "catch-up" provision $900.00
 (enables enrollees over age 55 to accelerate contributions)

NOTE: A qualified HSA must be supplemented by one of the CRR Benefit Plan high deductible PPO options. An HSA is a Federally regulated, Tax-deferred Savings Account.  After you have enrolled in the Health Plan, we encourage you to consider maximizing contributions to your HSA whenever possible so that you can accumulate money to self-insure for minor claims.  This practice will be beneficial to everyone in the insurance plan in the years ahead. To learn more about an HSA go to www.myuhc.com and look for Health Savings Accounts in the right side panel.
